Schlagwerk GmbH takes the protection of your data very seriously. We shall handle your data confidentially and in accordance with legal data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

You can normally use this website without having to provide personal information. In this case, only access data without personal reference will be stored. Such data is used exclusively to improve the content of our site and cannot be traced back to the individual. As far as possible we ensure that the personal data (e.g. name, address or email address) collected on our website is provided by you on a voluntary basis. This personal data will not be shared with third parties without your prior consent. In the case of the Schlagwerk Golden Cajon Awards, we require your data for registration, participation and the Schlagwerk Award voting process.

For purposes of clarification, please be advised that the transmission of data over the internet (e.g. communication via email) cannot be entirely secure. It is not possible to protect this data completely from access by third parties.

Which data do we store and how is this data used?

In order to approve your participation, we require your first and last name, your date of birth, your email address and your full address. We require your email address in order to send any confirmation or information emails, and so that we can contact you to provide any information on organisational procedure. Personal information provided by the award participants is saved and used solely for the purpose of the Golden Cajon Awards. Such information serves to guarantee unambiguous identification, and is used to notify participants in the event of a win.

Data concerning the use of social media platforms and/or generated by these social media platforms are not covered by this privacy policy.

Schlagwerk GmbH shall only use your data for the purposes cited above. Employees authorised by Schlagwerk for such purposes and/or persons charged with carrying out the task shall have access to your data.

Can you find out which data we have stored about you?

Yes. In accordance with Section 34 of the German Federal Data Protection Act [BDSG], you have the right to know what data we have stored about you. Should you wish to receive this information, please submit any such requests to the above address.

Can you request the rectification, deletion or blocking of data stored about you?

Yes. You can of course at any time request that your data be rectified, deleted or blocked in accordance with statutory provisions, either in writing or by email. Should the participant wish to delete the data within the time frame of the Golden Cajon Award, their participation will be revoked.

Do we pass your data on to third parties?

Personal data that you provide to us is used solely for the purposes of the Schlagwerk Golden Cajon Awards and the communication connected therewith. Your data is not passed on to third parties that are not entrusted with tasks as part of the execution of the Golden Cajon Award; more specifically, your data will in no event be sold, leased or exchanged. In instances whereby we contract work out to other companies (e.g. the technical realisation of the competition app), such companies are, of course, also obliged to protect your data and may only use said data for the exact purpose stipulated above. Moreover, both we and the above mentioned third parties are obliged to handle such data in accordance with this data privacy statement and the applicable, relevant legal data protection laws.
